Amaan J. Butt

Karachi

I make things for the internet I grew up on.

The one with forums, LimeWire, and strangers typing out song lyrics for each other at three in the morning. Some of what I made became companies. The rest had more sense.

Work

Some became companies.

Which is what happens when a hobby starts answering emails.

Experiments

The rest had more sense.

Twelve small machines, each built because I liked something far too much. Press one: the machine is at the top of the page, and the story of how it happened is underneath.

Likes

The raw material.

Everything here is something I like. The coloured ones grew up into projects. The rest are waiting their turn, some more patiently than others.
